Sand Beast on Phobos

The once glimmering streets of the Phobos Strip was one of four of the main strips of bars, clubs, and casinos. Now a desolate piece of a land the Sand Beast can be seen emerging from ground continuing to crush the little ruble that still laid there.

A black figure could be seen flying across the sky with a bazooka over the shoulder. Conrad braced himself as he prepared to attack the beast. Before he reached it he heard a huge roar approaching. He turned to see a ship coming towards him.

The Neue Ziel and Gundam X flew next to Derrick's ship, Leo Namaeus.

Derrick: Conrad is it? You're welcomed to join us in annihilating this creature.
Conrad: Thanks but I don't need any sort of invite.
Leo: Heh whatever, let's just take this out already.

The three pilots readied their weapons and began to take aim.

I guess I have no choice but to work with these Star Blazers (sighs).

Gouf readies his bazooka and fires at the Sand Beast Striking it on it's giant back

Well this shouldn't be to difficult.

At that moment, the Sand Beast quickly spotted the Frozen Star and launched a huge slab of what use to be a wall of one of the Phobos bars directly at the Gouf. The Gouf raised it's shield to block the incoming projectile

Conrad successfully blocked, but was pushed out of control by the impact falling onto the ground of the Phobos Strip.

Neue Ziel flew above the Gouf.

Drace: Well Mr. Mercenary, I could tell you right now that your fancy Gouf alone wouldn't be able to take this thing alone.

The Neue Ziel shoved the main gun down the beast's throat as it began to roar and fired. The beast staggered for a moment but recovered quickly.

Drace: Hmmm.. tough son of a bitch.

The Neue Ziel dodged a swing of its massive claw fired another round from the main gun as it backed off a couple of feet.

Drace, move out of the way!

Derrick Sanders landed the Gundam X on the bow of his ship as a volley of missiles rocketed towards the Sand Beast. It responded by kicking up a massive dust cloud. The sound of explosions rang out, but no one could tell if the attack had worked.

Agh... there's too much dust... Did it work?

Derrick was answered by a loud roar, the smoke clearing to reveal the Sand Beast; Shaken, but still standing.

The ground shuddered as the Sand Beast slammed its two front claws on the ground out of anger. It opened its mouth as wide as it could but not to roar. The beast began to gag and spit out large balls of saliva forming into miniature versions of the beast itself. About two dozen of the smaller beast were spat out and began to run towards the pilots.

Two of them jumped towards the Leo Namaeus.

Damn, that was a long way down.

Conrad lifted his Gouf onto it's right knee. He then realized he didn't have his bazooka anymore

Must of lost it after the impact. Oh, and it just gets better.

Conrad turned to see his shield was bent and half missing. He looked across the Phobos Strip to see two smaller Sand Beasts heading for the Neue Ziel

What and where the hell did those things come from?

The Gouf raised its left arm and fired 75 mm rounds from it's left fingers, striking and killing the two smaller beasts as they jumped towards Leo

Well at least they aren't as strong as the Big one.

Drace: Oh great...

The Neue Ziel took out its arms with sabers and slashed at the two small creatures running toward it. It then flew up to Derrick's ship and ramed one off the bow and slashed another jumping towards it.

Leo looked around only to see chaos from tons of scattered beasts in the area and the huge Sand Beast begin to make his way to the ship.

Drace: Damn! How's your satellite cannon looking Sanders!?

Two more of the little creatures hopped on top of the Neue Ziel weighing it down to the ground. Leo tried his best to shake them off before they hit bottom. The Neue Ziel stabbed one in the gut and barrel rolled to get the other off. Leo then released a dozen frenzied missiles from the Neue Ziel hoping to hit something.

It'll take a while for the Satellite System to charge up since we're so far from Earth's moon, but other than that, there's no problems.

As the Satellite Cannon moved into it's firing position, a hail of machine gun fire from the Leo Namaeus kept the smaller Sand Beasts at bay, attempting to focus them into a single area.

C'mon... hurry up and charge... we need to finish this soon!

The beast let out a piercing roar and got up on its two hind legs. It bent over and grabbed a chunk of the ground and threw it towards the Gouf and then began to run at an alarming pace towards the mobile suits.

Not this time.

The Gouf jumped to the right, dodging the chunk of ground.

That thing can run pretty fast.

The Frozen Star then began to chase after the Sand Beast. Conrad realized that he wouldn't be able to keep up with it by running, so he launched and rapped the Gouf's heat rod around the beasts neck and reeled himself in. When he was close enough, the Gouf jumped and took out his beam sword in mid air to stab and lock onto the creatures back.

I think this is how cowboys used to ride bulls in a rodeo. Lets see if I can hang on for 10 seconds. (chuckles)

Seeing the Beast be caught in the Gouf's heat rod the Neue Ziel swooped right in front of the beast and unleashed hell.

All of its missile tubes opened up and fired at point blank followed by a round from the mega cannon. The beast backed up a bit and Leo could finally see some sort of fluid start to ooze from the belly.

Drace: Yeah, that's right you're almost done for!

The Neue Ziel dropped down and slashed at its hind legs causing the beast to fall back on all fours.

Damn, the Satellite Cannon's still charging... Main Cannons, fire!

The Leo Namaeus unleashed a barrage from it's main cannons, decimating the group of smaller Sand Beasts that had congregated in a single area, and hammered at the original beast.

The Gundam X began glowing, the light emanating from the Satellite Cannon growing brighter and brighter...

Almost there...!

Drace, Conrad, keep it busy; I'll blow it away with one last strike!

The Beast broke free of the Gouf, tearing its heat rod to shreds and then suddenly began to shed its fur off. The pilots glared in confusion as they prepared to finish it off.

The Beast then began to flee in the direction of one of the other strips on Phobos.

There goes my heat rod too.

The Gouf jumped off the Beast, and looked up to see the creature shedding it's fur

What the hell is it doing? Hmm, it's running away now. I don't think so.

The Frozen Star then arched it's right arm back and threw its sword and the fleeing beast. The beam sword pierced straight through its right leg, causing the beast to fall

That should buy you enough time to finish it of with your satellite cannon Sanders.

The Neue Ziel stopped above the fallen beast and fired from his mega particle guns at the hind legs turning them into mush.

Drace: You aren't going to be terrorizing anymore strips! Alright go for it Sanders.

Satellite Cannon fully charged!

... FIRE!!

A massive burst of energy erupted from the Satellite Cannon sitting atop the Gundam X's shoulder, engulfing everything in it's path. One could see what could pass for a look of terror on the Sand Beast's face as it was engulfed by the beam. Derrick's grip on his controls relaxed; no one could survive a blast of that magnitude. Still, he was uneasy...

... Is it over?

The Sand Beast laid in pieces on the ground of Phobos. The strip that the beast was hurling too could be seen not too far off in the distance. Many bystanders could be seen viewing the end of the battle.
